Manjushree is a Sanskrit word meaning "gentle glory". In Sanskrit, shree means "glorious or honorable". His name means that he embodies enlightened wisdom. He bestows mastery of the Dharma, wisdom and eloquence and teaches the path of a Bodhisattva in the Mahayana tradition.
