The Green Tara is a symbol of compassion and generosity. She is known as the protective goddess against the eight fears.
She sits relaxed in Lalit Asana on a lotus pedestal, with her left leg bent and her right leg stretched forward resting on a small platform made of a lotus flower. The leg is extended, ready to act. Her right hand, resting on her knee and with the palm facing outward in the Mudra of generosity, gives a blessing. She holds in both hands a stem of a lotus flower, which is fully blossomed next to her right ear, and a bud next to her left ear. Behind the figure, there is a teardrop-shaped aureole.
The lotus base, the robe, and the aureole behind the statue are decorated with fine silvered filigree ornaments and accented with colored stones.
The Green Tara statue is an outstanding addition for discerning Buddhist collectors who value both aesthetic beauty and spiritual depth. It symbolizes the essence of compassion, wisdom, and the relentless pursuit of inner enlightenment.
