Bhaisajyaguru, also known as the Medicine or Healing Buddha, is famous for his twelve great vows. He is said to bring spiritual healing when worshipped in the right way.

The statue depicts him as a Buddha with the urna, a small, round protrusion above the bridge of the nose, and the ushnisha, a protrusion on the skull, both of which are among the most prominent features of a Buddha. His short, curly hair is also a distinctive feature.

Bhaisajyaguru wears a monastic robe and sits in the lotus position, cross-legged, on a decorated throne with a halo. His left hand rests in his lap in the meditation posture (mudra), while his right hand holds a branch of the medicinal plant Myrobalan, which is found in tropical regions, in the gesture of generosity (charity mudra).

The robe is decorated with fine filigree, as are the throne and the nimbus, the radiant aura behind the statue. These filigree ornaments are accentuated with carefully selected gemstones that create a harmonious connection between the silver-plated filigree and the natural stones.
