Samaya Tara, popularly known as Green Tara. Green Tara is considered the spiritual companion of Amogasiddhi, the Dhyani-Buddha.
In the Lamaist (Tibetan) tradition, Tara is incarnated in all good women. She is also said to be a historical figure: the Nepalese/Tibetan (Chinese) princess who married the great king Srang-Tsan Gampo and who is credited with introducing Buddhism to Tibet and China. She is revered because she embodies all good women.
