Green Tara's legs are in Lalita Asana, with the left leg bent tightly while the right leg is extended forward and resting on a small lotus flower platform. The leg is extended in readiness for action. Her right hand, resting on her knee with the palm facing outward in the mudra of generosity, bestows blessings. She holds a stem of a lotus flower in each hand, which is in full bloom next to her right ear, in the form of a bud next to her left ear.
