Vajra (Dorje) with stand

This crystal vajra showcases the rich artistic heritage of the Himalayan region. It rests on a silver-plated rod at both ends and floats above a rectangular copper base. The crystal and the copper base are decorated with fine filigree ornaments in spiral shapes and floral motifs. Accented with colored stones.

This Buddhist vajra, or by its Tibetan name: Dorje, is also called thunderbolt. It represents the indestructible and diamond-like nature of enlightenment. It is a symbol of limitless power.

This Vajra (Dorje) has four arrows and the tips are closed. So it appears in the shape of a lotus bud. A fifth arrow runs through the middle of the Vajra so that there are 5 arrows. Thus the Vajra represents the 5 bodies of the Dhyani Buddha.

In Tantrism, the vajra symbolizes the male principle when held in the right hand. The vajra could also be called a symbol of enlightenment, as it embodies qualities such as strength, clarity and spiritual power. It serves as a ritual tool and as a reminder of the practitioner's journey to wisdom, compassion and the realization of the ultimate truth.
