Manjushri is the Lord of Wisdom, with his flaming sword he dispels the demons of darkness, brings light, and enables the beginning. Together with his companion, his female power, they grant mastery over Dharma, wisdom, and eloquence.
Manjushri sits in full lotus position, Padma Asana, on a lotus pedestal with his companion in his lap. He holds the flaming sword in his right hand, above his left shoulder a lotus flower with the book Prashnaparamita. His left hand in the mudra of teaching, Vitarka Mudra, holds the stem of the lotus flower behind the back of his Shakti. Both wear the crown and full adornments of the Bodhisattva. Their forehead is adorned with a third eye. She holds a Vajra in her right hand, a skull cup, Kapala, in her left hand.
The lotus pedestal and robe are decorated with fine silver-plated spiral filigree elements. Accented with colored stones. Three Dzi beads are embedded at the front of the pedestal. The statue is gilded and silvered.
