The parashu is a ritual staff of tantric Buddhism and belongs to the established ritual objects of Vajrayana.
This parashu is crafted as a copper staff, with a shaft wrapped in twisted wire and gold-plated. The upper section is formed by a central crystal hub, to which a crystal kartika blade is attached. The blade is set into a makara head with an open mouth, which frames and holds it.
On the sides and at the back of the central hub, two half vajra elements made of gold-plated copper are applied, each terminating in a drop-shaped crystal. The composition is complemented by carved lapis lazuli elements, which add subtle accents and structure to the piece. The lower end of the staff is finished with a half crystal vajra.
The execution follows the iconography of Buddhist ritual art.
