Question about this piece

Created in the workshop of Shanta Shakya in Patan, Nepal. One of a kind.

Small gold-plated Ushnishavijaya statue. In Tibetan she is known as Tsuktor Namgyalma. She sits on a lotus pedestal in padma asana. The deity has three faces and eight arms. One of her lower left hands holds a vase containing the nectar of immortality, amrita. A pair of hands above it holds the double vajra, vishvavajra. One of her right hands holds a small Buddha figure. Ushnishavijaya is regarded as a goddess of longevity.

The detailed figure is cast using a modern process. Position and attributes follow the traditional iconography of Vajrayana Buddhism. It is suitable for a Buddhist home altar or meditation room and can also be part of an Asian art collection. The statue can be presented freestanding.
