Created in the workshop of Shanta Shakya in Patan, Nepal. One of a kind.
Small gold-plated Vajrasattva figure. The bodhisattva is seated in padma asana, holding a vajra before the chest and a bell, ghanta, in the left hand. Vajrasattva, known in the Tibetan tradition as Dorje Sempa, is revered as the bodhisattva of purification. He holds a central place in Vajrayana practice.
The detailed figure is cast using a modern process. Position and attributes follow the traditional iconography of Vajrayana Buddhism. It is suitable for a Buddhist home altar or meditation room and can also be part of an Asian art collection. The statue can be presented freestanding.
