Altar Bottle – Buddhist Ritual Vessel with Filigree

750,00 €

This copper bottle is a decorative object of religious art from the Himalayan region. It is intended for use on an altar and serves as a vessel within a ritual and formal context.

The bottle is cylindrical in form and fitted with a screw cap. It can be used as part of the furnishings of a Buddhist altar.

The body is decorated using filigree technique. Fine wires are shaped into spiral forms, filled with small arched elements, and assembled into continuous ornaments. Colored stones are set into the filigree structure, forming floral motifs.

The vessel stands in the tradition of Buddhist altar furnishings, in which form and ornamental execution are conceived as a unified design.
