Created in the workshop of Shanta Shakya in Patan, Nepal. One of a kind.
Small gold-plated Amitayus Buddha statue. He sits in padma asana on a lotus pedestal. His hands display the gesture of meditation, dhyana mudra, and hold the vase containing the nectar of immortality. Amitayus, the Buddha of Infinite Life, is associated with longevity and vitality.
The detailed figure is cast using a modern process. Position and attributes follow the traditional iconography of Vajrayana Buddhism. It is suitable for a Buddhist home altar or meditation room and can also be part of an Asian art collection. The statue can be presented freestanding.
